I’m Dr. Michael Adams, board-certified in both Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. I take a functional, whole-person approach to mental health, working with adults navigating substance use challenges, mood and anxiety concerns, and life transitions that may feel overwhelming.
My approach is clear, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique journey. I combine evidence-based psychiatric care with a broader focus on overall wellness, examining how biology, environment, lifestyle, and emotional well-being intersect. Alongside medication management, I often integrate holistic tools such as nutrition support, sleep strategies, mindfulness practices, and behavior-based interventions to support lasting recovery and balance.
I completed medical school at Touro University Nevada Osteopathic School of Medicine, followed by a psychiatry residency at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine and an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. My experience across hospital, outpatient, and integrated care settings allows me to tailor treatment to fit real-life needs.
If you’re seeking care that’s structured yet flexible, clinically sound yet personally meaningful, I provide a space for honest conversations, insight-building, and creating momentum toward meaningful change.
