I’m Dr. Michael Adams, a board-certified psychiatrist with subspecialty training in addiction psychiatry. I take a functional, whole-person approach to mental health, working with adults who are navigating substance use challenges, mood and anxiety concerns, and life transitions that can feel overwhelming or disruptive.
My style is clear, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique path. I combine evidence-based psychiatric care with a broader view of health, looking at how biology, environment, lifestyle, and emotional well-being all intersect. Alongside medication management, I often integrate holistic therapeutic tools such as nutrition support, sleep strategies, mindfulness practices, and behavior-based interventions to support lasting recovery and balance.
I completed medical school at the Touro University Nevada Osteopathic School of Medicine , followed by a psychiatry residency at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine and Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. I’ve worked across hospital, outpatient, and integrated care settings, which helps me adapt treatment to fit real-life needs.
If you're looking for care, that's structured but flexible, clinically sound but personally meaningful, I aim to provide a space where we can have honest conversations, build insight, and create momentum toward the changes you want to see.
